Earth only has finite resources and a limited water supply. Does water ever leave the atmosphere or abandon Earth, and do any other supplies on our planet?

The difficulty about water is where did it come from ?There is a lot of water in the sea. And what ever leaves the sea it gets recycled.

On the contrary, small comets and asteroids often BRING water to the Earth as they enter the atmosphere. Some theories state that that is where most of the water that filled the oceans, in the first place came from.
